"Charlie Job"

Before I was old enough to drive, I had taught myself to paint and had done several cars in alkyd enamel. Before leaving to go on to college, I had painted over 50 cars and had many happy customers. One of them described my work as a "Charlie Job" to compliment me for superior quality craftsmanship. The dedication and ambition to do the best has brought me an exciting experience engineering for the two largest US auto manufacturers. The experience continues as I provide carbuilder services as only an engineer can. Today, I apply the knowledge of engineering to produce superior quality restorations. I have continued to develope better methods to restore the cars of the 50's and 60's so they may continue to provide joy for their owners. Total restoration renews all the cars systems. For a few people that can afford the best, I can bring back the car they may have considered long gone.

Capabilities

Total restoration is a major undertaking, requiring one to two years to complete. Fabrication and/or repair of chassis and body components, powertrain rebuilding, and pristine paint and assembly work is done in a state of the art, clean facility built for this purpose. Machine work, welding, sheet metal forming, sandblasting, dissassembly, assembly, and storage all have their own shop areas. Extensive carbuilding experience includes replacing panels so the reconstruction work is undetectable, even by the best judges, or body men. Reinforcements and proper use of materials creates better cars than when first built.
